SINGLES 5 Game event. Trophies awarded to
top 3 bowlers in each age group
DOUBLES 5 Game event for two boys or two girls.
Trophies awarded to top 3 Doubles Team in each age group
TEAMS 3 Game event for five boy team or
five girl team. Trophies awarded to top 3 Teams in each
age group.
ALL EVENTS The All Events Championship is a separate
entry with a $4.00 entry fee. The "All Events"
Champions are determined by combining the bowlers 13 game
total for the Singles, Doubles & Team Events. The top
3 bowlers in each age group will be awarded championship
trophies in recognition as ICBA Candlepin Bowling Champions.
In addition, the top "All Events" winners will
be awarded $1000.00 college scholarship.

TOURNAMENT
RULES
ELIGIBILTY: Junior Bowlers who are patrons
of bowling centers belonging to the International Candlepin
Bowling Association may participate in the tournament
if both of these conditions apply:
A. The bowler is currently school through high school
and
B. The bowler has not bowled competitively in an adult
tournament including state, provincial, TV roll-off, or
professional tour event.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: A bowler may only
bowl once in singles, doubles and team events
AGE DETERMINATION: A bowler’s age
for this tournament shall be his/her age on Oct. 27, 2007
AGE CLASSIFICATION: In Single events
and “All Events”, bowlers may only bowl in
their own age group. In Doubles and Team events, bowlers
may move up to higher age groups. The age classification
for Doubles and Team events are determined by the age
of the oldest bowler.
SAME BOWLING CENTER: Bowlers participating
together in Doubles or Team events MUST COME from the
same bowling center.
PLAYING RULES: All International Candlepin
Bowling Association (I.C.B.A.) rules will be used during
tournament play. These include foul and lob line rules.
Bowlers who continue to lob after proper warnings from
Tournament Officials may be disqualified.
PLAYING AREA: Only bowlers, designated
scorekeepers, tournament officials and employees are permitted
in the bowling area. All others must remain behind the
bowling area. No food or beverage will be permitted in
the bowling area.
ALL EVENTS: Bowlers who desire to compete
in the “All Events” event must fill a separate
entry form, check the “All Events” block and
submit it with the $2.00 entry fee PRIOR to bowling in
his/her first event.
SUBSTITUTIONS: There are no substitutions
for the Singles events. Doubles or Team requiring a substitute
may do so up to the starting time of that event providing
at least one of the original bowlers will still participate.
The substitute bowler must be in the same age group or
younger than the bowler he or she is replacing. Rule #1
and #4 above must be used with regards to substitutes.
SPORTSMANSHIP: All bowlers participating
in this tournament are expected to exercise the highest
level of good sportsmanship. Any bowler who uses unfair
tactics, causes distractions to other bowlers, swears,
uses loud or belligerent language or behavior, abuses
the bowling equipment, or annoys other bowlers at any
time may be disqualified. Any warnings or disqualifications
are at the sole discretion of the tournament director
and are final. All parents and spectators are also required
to be considerate of all bowlers in adjacent lanes.
SMOKING: No smoking allowed inside the
bowling center.
PROOF OF AGE REQUIRED: The tournament
director may require, at his discretion that a bowler
provide him with proof of age within a reasonable time.
Anyone requested to provide proof of age, who does not,
may be disqualified from the tournament. In a team or
doubles event the entire entry would be disqualified.
QUESTIONABNLE INCIDENTS: In the event
that a questionable incident occurs that is not covered
by the I.C.B.A. rules or these tournament rules, the Tournament
Director will decide the matter
ARRIVAL TIMES: All bowlers should plan
to arrive AT LEAST 30 MINUTES prior to the scheduled event
starting time.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarship money will
be held in escrow until it is requested by a college,
university or technical school. If the bowler will not
be advancing their education beyond high school, they
may obtain the money on or after their 22nd birthday.
Proof of age will be required by the I.C.B.A. Board of
Directors.
GENERAL: Entry fees are not refundable
for any reason. In case of ties, there will be no roll-offs,
but duplicate trophies will be awarded. The Tournament
Director reserves the right to add or delete shifts as
necessary. All decisions of the Tournament Director shall
be final.
